Skeet Reese Tessera Pair

Featured Replies

Just picked up a pair of skeet rods from the local blue big box store for $50 ea. One spinning and other is a 7' MF trigger stick. I am just getting back into serious bass fishing always fish 20+ days a year but focus has been saltwater and ponds so my serious bass rigs were lacking in sensitivity. Rods felt great in the store and matched up with my reels nicely so I just need open water to get a feel for them. Anyone with a season or 2 on them care to share any thoughts I would appreciate it. Thanks

I owned the 7' MH at one point and personally didn't care for it.  I didn't like the sensitivity of the rod but than again Skeet Reese seems to do a good job of winning with those rods.  Braided fishing line will obviously solve that issue though.  After a little while I just couldn't stand the yellow blank anymore and got rid of it after about a month.

I have three of them and I like them pretty well. A lot of people don't like them much, but I've never had a problem with them. They are a little heavier than some rods and aren't built with the care of higher end rods, but when your on a budget, they work great. They sure beat the heck out of the old junk I used to use.

I do not use the reels though, they have a lot issues evidently.
