Turning Transom Mount Trolling Motor Into Bow Mount?

Featured Replies

I have a 15' v hull fiberglass boat w/o a deck so it gets a little annoying bass fishing as i always have to be in the back of the boat to work the motor. I've decided to build a deck in the front and build a small mount on the bow to place my trolling motor but I'm not quite sure how to turn the head of my transom mount around so that the prop is facing the right way on the bow. any help would be great thanks

There should be a bolt and nut that you can remove from the top of the shaft, just below the head of your unit. You can then spin the TM head around 90 degrees, re-insert the nut and bolt and be good to go. This guy makes a mount, if your not interested in making your own. I don't have the mount, but he made me a frame with 3 hatches and lids to fit into my bow deck extension I make for my Tracker 1648 MV. Really top notch work!!
