Heavier wire is the only difference you'll notice.

You'll definitely want to use a stronger rod with the super lock. being that it's a thicker hook, a "M" rod will have a harder time penetrating and getting a solid hook set as a medium heavy rod would.

As sharp as those hooks are you won't have a hard time penetrating a fishes mouth. I caught a 6 lb bass swimming an ultravibe speed craw on an ultralight with 4lb test last year with that hook. Can't count the number of fish I caught out of my ponds on that same setup

Look at the shank up around the bend.  The one in the pic you're asking about looks as though it has a bit more curve to it then the regular EWG hooks do.  At least that's what I can tell from the website pic.
