7'3 Heavy To Light Of A Rod For A Small A Rig

Featured Replies

I was wondering if a 7'3 heavy rod would be strong enough to throw a strike king titanium umbrella rig with 3 inch swimbaits on it an these are like the Berkley swimbaits that already has the hook made in it

This is a 7'3 heavy duckett I like there rods but it sucks cause they don't put ratings on the rods

I would think you would be fine with that. Tie it on and start throwing it real easy, you'll be able to tell if it's too much for the rod.

I throw lighter A Rigs on a 13 7'3 H as well as a 7'4" Rage H. Both with no issues.

I use a 7' 3" EX H/F Cielo. It hasnt seen water yet but it handled a 3 Arm A rig with 1/4 Jig heads and Money Minnows perfectly in the back yard.

Ive thrown a light a rig on a dobyns 735c (rated 1/4-1 1/2)  It was a 3 wire rig rigged weightless. You should be fine.
