Just Picked Up Lowrance Spotlight Scan Transducer

Featured Replies

Went to BPS to grab a couple of rods on the last day of the rod trade in days, and as I passed the electronics area and noticed a Lowrance Spotlight Scan unit.........I asked the rep how many he had......he said 2......I said I'd take one of them.

Pretty excited about it..........hopefully get it mounted before the weekend........I'll keep you posted.

It looks like it's going to be pretty sweet! I'm hoping to pick up one up a little later this spring. I like the fact that it's got the broadband, down scan, and spotlight all in one transducer.

You have my attention, ive seen a few posts and feedbacks. From what i hear if your not getting a good reading you might be scanning to fast.

Enjoy!

I Think I am going to return the spotlight scan in favor of getting the MG xi5 with pinpoint gps.................................and wait for the spotlight scan until it has the electric steer adapter.

I know some guys have said its almost an art to get a good scan cause you have to be so slow and steady to get a good scan but the guys that are getting the hang of it are putting some beautiful pictures up. One guy captured a school of fish just off the bottom right in front of his boat. Was cool to look at.

Lowrance said they are working on the xi5 interface........no firm time table but I will repurchase the spotlight scan when they do.
