I was wondering if yall have any tips or tricks for changing or installing split rings.  I mean i know how they work but its just when i go to add split rings to poppers and changing out hooks, it seems like it always a hassle.  The split rings never want to cooperate and it doesn't help that there is a really sharp hook not an inch from your fingers. Any input would be appreciated.

That makes sense.  Do they work well?

I use the Rapala Carbide Pro's they are my absolute favorite fishing tool.

They work well because they are made to open split rings.  I have a pain of the Rapala split ring pliers, and wouldn't even want to attempt adding or removing a split ring without them.  I paid about $15 for mine, so $4.99 is a great price.
