I got there at 8:40am and there were already 60 people in line. They had 161 reels total only 31 left handed. Pretty much everybody bought 2 each some guys brought there kid so they could buy 4. I was lucky enough to get the last left handed reel.

I got mine today. Only 6 left. I didn't even know about them honestly and a pro was there and we were b/s'ing about frog fishing and he asked how many curados I picked up today and I was like "huh?". So he immediately brought me over there. He had 3 and was showing me his (he has 2 right 1 left) no rights were left but Im left anyways. I cant wait to use it.

He and another pro also stated they had compared the new and old pre-release and the only difference is honestly the color. I dont know if it's true but that's what was said. I dont care personally I got my Callaway Irons last year for 499.99 the new ones were 899.00 on the golf simulator there was literally 0 difference in my distance and feel. A new release every year isn't always better. Hell Kawasaki Ninja 500's were the same for what 20 years haha

I got 2, a 6 and a 7.  They said they had 300 to start the day and the 6s and 7s were gone in a few hours. There were still about 30 5's when I went by about an hour before close.  That was at the Springfield MO, store. Did all the other stores have 300 at the start?

Mine did. And they had a ton (20-25) of 5's lefts 6 6's 0 7's and that was at noon. Was very sad to hear there were no 7's. I checked ebay and I could throw in another 30-35.00 for a 7 I guess but I only wanted one frog reel this year.

Yeah the guy behind the counter said the 7's left and right handed were gone like that. The right handed 6's gone just as fast. Once they found out I was left handed they laughed and said how lucky I was.

Man id even take a left handed 7. But I really like the reel. I was pitching with it yesterday outside. I live in the northern Chicagoland area or lakes are still frozen.

I got to my local BPS at 8:59 and there were already about 100 people in line.  They sold out of all right-handed Curados in 13 minutes, about 300 reels.  I was one of the unfortunate not to get one.

When the G series was released all the Shimano fanboys talked about how disappointed they were. Now with the I series all the fanboys talk about is how awesome the new reel is. I would venture to guess that the G and I are miles apart according to most who have actually used them.

Lucky people... my local outfitter had a sale on Curado Gs as well -- picked up a 201G6 today -- but they sure as heck weren't $99!

Oh to live close to a BPS.

It wasn't 99 for us up here, it was 129.99. You know the retailers have to pay for "shipping up here".  You know how that valid excuse they had before (currency difference) and now it's "shipment of product and other taxes".

Dang, I was actually fishing right next to the local BPS (about 20 miles away). I didn't know about this deal as I just started fishing again since four months ago. So I call them and they were closing in 27 minutes. Hopped in my car (it just started snowing) and got there just in time to pick up two.

Problem is that they're 5.5:1. Never used anything but 7.1:1, so I'm going to give one a try and see how I like it.

I got Dicks Sporting Goods to price match and they let me use a 20% coupon. Picked up the Curado for 79 bucks and saved on gas. Def happy with my deal.

No my local store only had 161 and they sold out in 15 minutes. There were about 60 people left in line who didn't get one.
