Bought 1/8, 3/16, & 1/4 oz. size. Then tried to thread 50# braid through them. 1/8 ok 3/16 ok but the heavier 1/4 no such luck, hole is too small. Drove me crazy.  >:(Anyone had the same problem? Anyone had same problem with any other brand of Tungsten??

Not with Bullet Weights brand and especially not with Tru-Tungsten and Vike, they have plenty of room.

Its the insert they have. This problem is fixed for 2011 as there will be no insert. Was told we would have them in for Feb. but none in our store yet. Probably in a week or so.

Yeah, I try to avoid inserts as long as the company making them give it a smooth enough finish to minimize line abuse.

You would think that before Bass Pro mass marketed a product they would make sure the HOLE in their sinkers would accommodate fishing line running through it.  I mean the diameter of 50# braid isn't that uncommon in Bass Fishing. : : : makes me wonder!!!!!!

Did you call their customer service and give them an ear full or not ?

Yes, I called & was very pleasant as they were. Told them my story and they said thanks for letting us know. I told them I would now have to buy more, expensive, different brand, tungsten weights, and they said yes you will. :

I have some of those sinkers myself. Think it is possible to drill out that insert and maybe dremmel off any sharp edges you get?

if you guys go into the store and say you had a problem they should switch them for the new ones with out the insert

I wasn't saying drilling the tungsten itself, BPS presses what looks like a plastic insert inside their older line if tungsten bullet sinkers was wondering how drilling that out would work

Ya I was thinking that myself, or blasting the plastic insert with a torch to melt it out or something. I figured it probably more hassle then it's worth. I'll probably just boycott BPS for two or three years, maybe four or five,maybe six

I looked up the reviews for the bps tungsten weights on there site.I noticed as far back as 06 that customers were complaining about the inserts and line fraying.I wonder why its taking them so long to finally improve on them.
