I plan to put a 3.5 HP motor on my Pelican Bass Raider 10.  Will the standard 15" shaft work, or do I need the longer 20" shaft?  Allan

    I'm pretty sure a 15" shaft will be just fine.

    I use a 2,5 hp merc with a 15 in on my BassHunter  and actually wish it were shorter.  Plus I had to raise my transon a couple of inches to get the mounting bracket to even work on my boat.
