do you all use anything to fill in screw holes on the decking with carpet? For instance replacing a fish finder and have 3 screw holes were the old mounting bracket used to be and wondering if I should fill those holes and was something. Thanks

At the bare minimum, I'd use some clear silicone. You may also want to reinstall the screws. 3M5200 is ideal, but it is also bright white and may stick out against the carpet color

I would use clear silicone and paint the screws close to carpet color and put them back in.........but I would try to cover replace the old FF base with the new one preferably.
