What Combo Is Next ??

Featured Replies

I'm looking to buy another baitcaster. Right now I have a lews tournament speed spool on a 7'1 mh *** and 50 lb power pro and I use it for everything. I want another one though. I mainly fish from banks...I was thinking a 7'1 med *** with a lews tournament speed spool and 30 lb power pro. Am I thinking right ? I throw everything with that rod, what could I throw good with that medium action rod.

Actually considering the bb1 pro also. What's the difference in the tournament speed spool and bb1 pro ?

7'1" medium is good for jerkbaits, topwater, lipless, shakey head, weightless plastics, wacky rig, drop shot, light jigs/t rigs, even squarebills.

Just curious.. Why are you limiting yourself to only those 2 brands?

Just what I've used and I really like it.

Nothing really further to add to masterbass's answer.

Okay thanks guys. So I'll be set to cover most everything with a 7'1 med and mh?

Shorter rod for topwater and jerkbaits, look into the 6'10 or 6'7, you could still do most techniques in the lure rating on the rod except for cranking well.
