I have the tournament speed spool right now. Has anyone used the bb1 pro also ? I'm wondering if it's worth the extra 50$ over it. Any help will be appreciated.

The short answer is yes. When you compare the features the answer points to yes. The centrifugal braking system on the BB1 Pro works exceptionally well and the external adjustment makes it just that much better. It's my favorite of the entire line. I have three, all in 6.4 to 1 ratio. They are long casters and very smooth. If you have any other questions just PM me. I just got the new Lews Team Gold spinning reel too. We shall see how that pans out.

I have a bb1 pro and its amazing. I don't have a tournament pro but I do have a tournament mg speed spool. They aren't even close in comparison. The brakes on the Bb1 are awesome. I can cast everything from 1/8 oz to 3/4 oz with very little adjustment. It casts everything a mile.

I have mine on a 7'3" *** and I'd use it for anything. I specifically use it for chatterbaits/spinnerbaits/buzzbaits. I spooled it with 30# smackdown and it casts everything effortlessly.

I was thinking about putting it on my mh rod and putting my 50 lb power pro on it.

Okay thanks so I should put the bb1 pro on my med hvy rod. I'll do that and put the tournament on my med rod and I'll be set. Sounds like it's worth the 50$ upgrade so here in a month when I buy I will get the bb1. Thanks guys
