Anyone Fishing Okeechobee Lately

Featured Replies

Goin to okeechobee in a few weeks. Just wanted to see what the bite was like down there. I understand things can change in a few weeks, but are some fish still bedding? Any particular part if the lake been on fire, or any particular vegitation(pads, buggy whips, cattails, mats)? Anything would help...thanks

Haven't been on the lake in over a month.

We launched at Scott Driver and stayed on the north end all day and did find beds.

We were just messin around so I didn't want to bother any bedding fish, we left them alone.

Leaving Fri to prefish for the Fed Nation tourn on Sunday.

I'll let you know next week what we find.

Is appreciate it. I have a firefighter tournament there in 3 weeks. Never fished there so anything will help. We're launching out of Roland martins'

Same here, I'd love to give you some insight on the lake but it's been about a month for me too.  Water level was a tick over 14 feet then and water temp was 62.  I'd bet the water is closer to 13 now and the water temp is slightly warmer.  I'd venture to say you could find some good schooling action out there.
