Lake Norman 29-31Mar

Featured Replies

Made the trip down from PA to NC on the morning of tje 29th

Put in at on the evening of the 29th and saw gulls and spots eating baitfish on the surface in the fingers od the lake in 7 to 14ft of water. Gulls and spots were eating in the morning and evening hours

We threw jerks, trigged beavers, jigs, swimjigs, swimbaits and a-rigs for thw three days in muddy (1-2ft visibility) in 50-59f water.

The best bite came on a LC pointer 100 in chartruese shad. Spots were all over it near rip rap and docks with water over 10ft near by.

The spots are full of eggs and quite aggressive. The laegemouth were sluggish but when the hit they hit hard and were of goog size!

All in the weekend was fantastic...caught good numbers and had a great time to my oldest fishin buddy!

Spots were in the 1-2lb range and thw largies caught were in the upper 2 - high 3s. One was close to four lbs
