Pittsburgh Anglers

Anyone fish the 3 rivers and lakes around Pittsburgh?  Having any luck?

been out to Raystown twice... lake is a disaster. ice chunks and logs floating everywhere... the kbbc and jims anchorage tournaments this weekend are going to be tough

I am headed out to Raystown Lake on Thursday (4/10/14) and staying until Sunday.  Probably going to fish the upper part of the lake due to the water temperature.  I am betting that if there are any ice chunks left, the are all closer to the end of the lake close to the d**n.  What a crazy winter!  We usually make 2 trips out there a year (spring/fall) and we usually go close to Easter and I have never seen ice on the lake at that time.

Dink, I usually dont start fishing the rivers around here until closer to May.  If I want to do some fishing before then, I'll go up around Clarion or out on the Juniata or the Susky.  I don't dare go out the weekend of the First Day of Trout around here (or anywhere for that matter).  Just a bunch of clowns throwing cottoncandy powerbait all weekend.  But I haven't been out at all this year, except to teach my 2 year old son how to cast a couple weeks ago at the Canonsburg Dam.  Thursday cannot come soon enough.

I had a club tournament at Raystown Sunday. Only 4 fish were weighed! Fishers of Men weighed 12 fish Saturday.

caught a nice sheepshead on a bungeehawg monday on the allegheny pool 4
