What is the first thing you try,and why?

Id say,personally,id try the Soft Stick bait Wacky Rigged first. Because the amount of bites I have gotten on one in the past while using them.

Go with the search baits.

Search and destroy with a spinner or crank. Once I've indentified some sweet spots I will explore all parts of the water column.

I personally would use Grey Wolf and Wanderlust's strategy and would use some type of search bait. For me it's a spinnerbait as well. Once I get the bite I would saturate the area with both a spinnerbait and a jig.

Senko for me, pound the shore then take the crank and go after the hogs!
