What Sd Card Are You Guys Using In Your Hb's For Marking Waypoints?

Waypoints and Tracks are written directly to the unit's memory.

I use memory cards for Screen Snapshots, Recordings, unit software Updates, and Waypoint Management with HumminbirdPC

All you need to do is push the Mark button to create a waypoint and the waypoint will be in the unit's memory until you Delete it.

So which SD are you using for snapshots and other functions?

I have a bunch from 8MB up to 32 GB.

I use the 4GB and 8 GB size the most.

The best performing ones are SanDisk class 10 SDHC.

I have three Side Imaging units so each has a memory card and a map card.

I use the SanDisk 10 SDHC in mine. If I remember correctly I had to go in the settings and turn on snapshot after I installed the SD card.

Yes Snapshot has to be activated in the Accessory menu to do recordings and screen captures.

The Default setting is "Off".

To take a screen shot, you push the Mark button. That saves the view displayed as a .png picture file. It also creates a Waypoint with a "S" prefix and camera icon, plus a thumbnail picture that will display on the Chart view when at that waypoint.
