Reading through my BPS magazine I saw a little blurp about placing a drop of glue on the braid line knot, I have also seen other write ups about using glue on soft plastics. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what glue I can add to my tackle that will perform well for everything over all in the tackle situation. BPS has the Fishing Glue by Carlson Tackle Co. but the squeeze bottle is out of stock. I found the CTC website and can order it directly but really, I am not paying $7.00 just for the shipping of a 1/3 oz bottle! So, does anyone have any other suggestions? Thanks

there is pro's soft bait glue, and then there is super glue(which won't work as well on lures, but is king on a knot and for keeping soft plastics from moving)

Super glue or especially super glue gel works great for knots.  The gel is better for gluing plastic to lead.  I always keep it in the boat for emergencies for fixing things especially cuts.

I always use super glue for knots and soft plastics.......especially a shaky head.......the best is to get the kind that has a brush on the tip.........makes applying much easier........

yeah the super glue with the brush is the way to go imo.  squeezing drops in the right place is hard.  if you fish a lot of senkos and ikas glue will help you to get a lot more life out of your baits.  when they start to slide down the shank of the hook every cast a drop of glue on the top of the hook shank will help you get a lot more life out of every bait

I would second the Pros Soft bait glue for any type of soft bait fix-up.  You can take your pricier soft baits home and repair them at the end of the day, or do so on the spot.  My guess is that it will work on braid knots, but that is just that.  I've never tried it for that purpose.  Super glue gel obviously does work for that.  The Pro's will bond a wide variety of items and will last a good year w/o drying up.  Pricey at $10 maybe, but I have recycled so many baits that it is worth it to me.

I use loctite with a brush applicator.  It goes on purple then dries clear.

I like the brush because it's the only way I can apply a minute amount of glue exactly where I want it.

I use it for braid to leader connections and it has worked for me.

I also like Pro's Soft Bait Glue. I was at a local hobby shop and they sell a glue that comes in a bottle like pro's. I bought some at about 1/3 the price and it works just as well.

I really like the way the gel applies and works.  But It seems to dry up in a couple of weeks.  As a back up I buy the generic brand of super glue at wally world in the hardware section.  You get 5 tubes for $1!  So if you only get one day of fishing out of a tube of it before it hardens you don't have a lot of money in it.
