Today I was fishing with a Carolina rig and was using fluoro as a leader. After bringing a fish in over rocks, the line became nicked and I was able to easily brake it. So my question is, what line do you use as your leader on a Carolina rig?

10lb Seaguar Redlabel fluoro.

I use 15-17lb mono for my leader line.

Mono of different lb test depending where I'll be fishing.

Usually it will range between 10 and 15.....

15 lb big game mono which is actually much higher in strength.. Big game is rated much lower than the actual breaking strength.

Since I'm fishing in 10' and less depth my c rig leaders are red Cajun line like 14# with 17# for the mainline.

I like mono so it floats off the bottom.
