Best Duckett For 'traps In Grass?

Featured Replies

I want to buy a better Duckett rod for traps in grass. I have a 7' Medium cranking rod, and its a great rod, but I think I want something with a little more backbone. I was looking at the White Ice 7'4" Medium cranking rod; figuring I could put a 6.4: Lews TP on it and 15lb test and use that for traps. The extra length would help to rip it out. Plus, it would double as a great Deep Cranking stick!

Any thoughts?

PS: Heart is set on Duckett, no other brand recommendations, please. Thanks!

to be honest I love my duckett ghost rod I have the 7'3 MHF, its great, i can cast for miles on this rod and it had alot of backbone

I have a 7'3" White Ice in MH. I like the rod but other than the foam and paint I don't really see much difference to the Micro Magic. I would save the cash and just get a Micro Magic in the action you desire.

I have the 7'3"MH MicroMagic rod, and works good for what you are looking for.

It's a solid rod all around rod IMHO.
