What A Day For Numbers

Featured Replies

Today I hit the local pond at 4 pm n fished to 8. I caught 15 bass, the biggest one weighted 1 # 10 oz.

But more importantly this young lady and her 9 year old son came by on the track. He was riding his scooter and she was power walking. He asked me if he could watch me fish. I of course said no you can't, but your're more than welcome to fish with me. I set him up with a spinning reel and a trick worm with a split shot. Showed him how to use it and he really had a blast. He kept getting bit time after time but somehow he just could'nt set the hook except for this one time. His rod was bobbing back and forth and at the bank he lost the fish. Looked to be about a 1 1/2 to  2 pounder.   He and his mother thanked me and said they hope to see me again.  I sure hope we meet up again. What a great day for me as well, and I don't mean catching all those fish. :)

Congrats to u man thats what this country needs, more people like you to take the time and teach somebody how to fish. My hats off to you sir..

That's a great story! Don't see enough of that these days. People are so busy looking out for themselves that they don't give other people the time of day. Its a shock when you see people like yourself helping out and giving your time to others.

Thanks fellas. I didn't think it was a big deal. Kids are where it's at first and foremost.
