Only If Strikes Counted...

Featured Replies

I wouldn't be skunked this year :cry4:That's been the story of my year so far.

So Decided to ignore the bad weather and  go out to the reservoir today, and do my bank dance around 6pm. Went to a part of the resi I haven't been yet, looks like a canal but it dead ends so maybe its a creek. Was using a Xcaliber cx 200 craw square bill felt that puppy bouncing of timbers and would pause a half a sec after each timber hit and continue. So at the last piece of timber in front of me I pause and boom I see the strike and the fish so I engage :respect-059: then... :cut: spits the crank. :sad-023: that was in the first 20 minutes being there plus I got poured on and hailed on... no rain coat...then it started thundr'n and lightn'....so I hauled backside.  Still had a good time though.

So far this year I've had a similar but slightly different issue. I seen to have a problem hooking these bass at times, but I've yet to miss a Pickeral....

I'm hitting a reservoir tomorrow, hoping to get a few

I'm on a swimbait slump right now so far since april 1st I've had approximately 46 follows and 3 tail strikes no hook ups. may get out the conventional gear and hit some blowdowns and docks to remember what it feels like to catch a fish
