We mentioned this before but do we have any new members to the Orange bottom lure color club lately. Have you noticed that the Orange bottom catches more fish?

Example,

Bomber cranks,

Redapplecraw has an orange bottom.

Baby bass has an orange bottom.

Dark green has an orange bottom.

Rebel BIG CLAW crawfish in chartreuse has an orange bottom.

The Orange bottoms seem to be more successful lures.

Rippin rap orange bottom and demon scatter rap are my best producers thus far in 2014.

Iv actually been using the red apple craw bomber square A for the past few days, and have caught zero fish with it.. That actually goes for all square bills. I cant buy a bite. I think its safe to say the warm weather here in NC is here to stay, and with plenty of jig/t-rig/shakey head, and even some topwater fish off the banks under my belt I figured Id get bit on a square crank, but nothing. Iv dug em into and around rocks along the bank, ran em past structure, and have tried avout every retrieve known to man. How are you fellow bank fishing guys catching em?

I use the bomber shallow A, model A size 05. A shot of craw scent and I'm off to do battle.

Presentation is the key. Since these lures float we can go slow enough to let it float and make a wake, or slow reel it so it's just under the waters surface. Or speed up so it dives to its proper depth. I run it over submerged weeds as a wake bait and stopping it over the deep open weed pockets. I may let it sit and twitch it.
