I'm getting ready to put in an order to Siebert Outdoors. This will be my first time fishing jigs. Mike suggested a dredge brush in blue and black so I will definitely get that. Any suggestions from you guys would be great.

The awesome thing is that Mike fishes too. That's a big help when you ask him what to use or try. The advice is coming from a great source of information.

 

I like a football 3/8oz jig in green pumpkin with a trailer I just hop it across the bottom.

I carry a few  basic jig colors and change them up with the trailer. I would suggest colors in black n blue, brown, PB&J, and green pumpkin/watermelon. Arkie heads for fishing weeds, alien heads for timber, and football heads for rock. I buy jigs 50 at a time all the same color. There is no sense in complicating things.
