Coca cola is apparently removing Brominated Vegetable Oil from its drinks. A Mississippi teenager complained about it after she discovered it was also used a a fire retardent. She filed a petition, caused a stir and achieved her goal. Yay her.

I hate to burst her bubble. Water makes a good fire retardent too. So does many other liquids. I would be more concerned with the citric acid and hydrochloric acid used in making said drinks. As well as the Polyethylene Terephthalate used as the drink container.

On a positive note. It is one less chemical to be consumed. I do commend the girl for her efforts. I just can't help but poke fun at the reasoning for it.

The foam agents that fire departments use to smother out fores are made of animal fats (or at least they used to be) .We eat and cook with those same fire fighting fats. I guess we'll have to all be vegetarians too.

We're all dying because of laboratory experiments.

Radiation. Not experiments. Don't you listen to Enviro Punk?

That's gonna be the next step. Wait a second. This contains vegetable oil. That nixes veggies from the list.
