Featured Replies

You know the world WILL end for each of us very soon.

Each of us will have a different day on which the world WILL END.

Thats the day we die..

..and until then, I'm going FISHIN' !

Oh an rising sea levels?  Just means there'll be more fish to catch!

According to a news article I read last night. Some scientist seem to think it will be caused by raising sea levels. They are talking about a three foot rise by 2100.

I've read the same and do believe it will happen.

According to the man who invented global warming and the internet, half the U.S. is supposed to be underwater by now.

An urban legend, words taken out of context.  He was responsible for some of the funding for the development of the internet. http://www.snopes.com/quotes/internet.asp

And they will continue to say this as long as their grant money keeps rolling in.

It's money on the other side funding for the extraction of fossil fuels.  It's big business and profit vs science.

Some point to the demise of the Roman Empire was due in part not having available funds to maintain their infrastructure.  Are we not experiencing the same problems here?  Bridges, roads, water systems, electrical grids, etc in need of repair, replacement and updating.

Snook it is impossible to comment much on your post without crossing the political line. I will say that it is the natural progression of empires to turn their focus to their own pleasure and interests while forgetting/ignoring the fundamentals on which they were built, leading to their ultimate failure...

Raider, in a triple-caffeine induced state of apoplexy, will go into a rant, and then implode; creating a temporal chrono-synclastic infundibulum, leaving behind a size 15 pair of flippers, a snorkel, a speedo and a full length chinchilla coat; which apparently was what he was wearing when said rant began.

How the rest of us will end is up for debate.
