Beginner Needs Help Ledge Fishing

Featured Replies

I'm new to offshore fishing but I think I have the right equipment (2 HDS10's gen2 with structure scan and point 1 gps) to fish ledges but I'm completely lost and have no clue what I'm doing offshore.  I'm fishing lake Seminole this week and from what I'm hearing is there are bass starting to move out to the river ledges but the river is high and muddy.  How deep should I focus on and what advice can you keep someone that has never done offshore fishing?

Thanks in advance

shallow and deep are relative terms...... I fish some water where 15 foot is dirt shallow, and some where 15 foot is super deep.

1.look at the map follow the channels and points out of the coves...find the drop from there.

2.then idle around scanning promising looking drops/cuts/ledges

3.post pictures of hawgs
