Indiana Bass

Featured Replies

Things are picking up here with low 70's in water temps, best baits for me have been black and blue football jigs. Any other reports?

I've been in KY for a week, so I can't comment, but if the water is that warm it should be on. They were pre-spawn and a few on beds two weeks ago.

1/4 and 3/8 oz spinnerbaits, senkos, and rage tails have been productive for me in the past 2 weeks

Went out this morning. Water temps around 65.  There was a big bite going on, but mostly with 1 pounders and only on wacky rig senkos.

Got a few on buzz baits this weekend. Also a few on plastics and crankbaits. The better ones came on cranks.

I'm having lots of luck with Zoom Super Flukes (Baby bass) with 3/0 EWG hooks

Largemouth are on the banks, in my normal smallmouth positions.  Senko's have been my best daytime weapon.  1-2 pound males are at 5' or less, you gotta work a little harder for the females.  In low light I'm having good light with a heddon spook.  I'm not sure if smallies have spawned yet or are currently spawning.  Havent seen them in a week.  Wipers are smashing DT 16 cranks and spro 16' cranks in open water.  The wiper bite is so good, 2 of my 6 rigs are dedicated to them at the moment.
