How stiff is the 7' MH? Do the new models feel like a broomstick?

 

Popular opinion is that Abu rods are a little heavier than rated.  I don't see how "a little heavier than rated" could turn a MH into a broomstick.  My Abu rods are both Villains, a ML spinning rod and a 7'6" MH b/c rod.  I can tell you that the casting rod is a poor caster with its low rated limit of 3/8 oz.  Even a 1/2 oz. lure is lighter than I will use on this rod.

 

I'm sure someone...or two...with experience using that particular rod will chime in with some factual comments.

bought 2 a caster and a spinning and both are collecting dust in my closet... +3 on Broomstick

Its stiff, but I like it.  I can cast pretty decently with a 5/16 oz jig. Im a big fan of the 7' MH.  I was so happy with my first that i got a 2nd
