Evenin' y'all. Today I went and picked me up one of them 3/8 oz arbogast poppers, never tried a popper before so i decided to giver a shot. Im mostly castin into clear water, would y'all recommend I use my spinning with 10 lb test mono or baitcast with 12 lb test mono for this here particular lure? Lookin' for some expertise/experience! Hello and welcome to the forums. I think either one of your rigs will work just fine for the hula popper. Depending on the action of your rods, you may find that the spinning will cast the popper further though.

Either of your setups will most likely work. I toss my topwater baits, including the magnum pop-r on casting gear with 10# line.

You should be fine with either setup, that being said the only difference I think would be the type of pole that was on each. I would personally use the baitcaster with the mono though.
