Weather.com's Fishing Graph

Featured Replies

Does anyone follow this? How accurate is it?

I think it's more of a speculative thing. I used to try to see if it was accurate, but in most cases the fish determined themselves if they were going to bite.

Besides, who'd want to stay off the water just because weather.com said it'd be bad? A bad day fishing is better than a good day at the office! :)

Best to just go fishing.

Based upon my experience with it (I've referred to it a lot over the years), I think it is accurate around 75~80% of the time.

Qualifying the above statement a little more, I fish in central Florida. Florida bass get really finicky with changing weather patterns. New frontal conditions can shut down Florida bass. It is pretty accurate outside of the influence of changing weather conditions.

I personally don't care what it says.  If it's good enough for me to fish then I go.  Catching is a whole other discussion.  :)

That's why I asked haha, it says it's bad today but I'm going anyway!

I use it as a : "window of tendencies" ... I will try to fish when the graph shows activity is on the upswing through the peak (confidence thing) .

Then again , lots of variables in fishing - just go when you can :)
