Question For The Floridians

Featured Replies

Hey guys.. I have been doing some research and just wanted your opinion on this:

If you were trying to catch some trophy bass, would you spend your money to take a trip to Okeechobee or stick marsh/farm 13... Why?

Stick marsh. It is smaller, better management and consentration of the trophy bass. Chobee has more variables, weather, water, location. Just my 2 cents.

For a trophy Id go to Stick Marsh or Toho, Okeechobee isnt know for its double digit bass, now it will give you three 8s and a 9 and a slew of 5's, but hard to crack that 10 mark they have too quick of a growing season ans not enough cool deep water.

Its not even a fair comparison, Stick Marsh/Farm Pond!

Thanks guys, could any of you possibly recommend a guide for stick marsh?

Hugh Crumpler, guy has more hours logged on that system than anyone I know and will put you on the right fish, its your job to catch them, but don't forget its still FISHING.

Talk to anyone that is familiar with both bodies of water and they will tell you the stick marsh.  Day in and day out the stick marsh produces more double digit fish.  Just don't put one in the livewell, it will cost you.

Don't worry.. I always catch and release! Is there a place to rent boats? If there is, I may consider doing that but the problem is that all water in Florida looks so "bassy" with all the grass! I'd have no idea where to start!

Had an awesome day with BBD and JZ3 and we were just winging it... Seems like anywhere on the lakes will produce quality fish.
