As seen on tv/Youtube?

Featured Replies

I was wondering how many people have bought the lure/lure kits they have seen on tv or the internet such as the banjo minnow or those rabbit hair jigs(you tube)? and how they worked out for you?

thanks

yeah got suckered in the hydra lure when it first came out.Piece of crap.....

Worst thing I ever brought. Those plastic heads that comes with the package actually cracked. The action was so and so.I would have been better off buying  just a regular swimbait from any quality name company(Zoom fluke for an example).  I don't know exactly what hooks they used, but they felt pretty dang cheap.

I had two different "info-mercial" kits when I was a lot younger : Banjo minnow , and one called the Stim-U-Lure (anybody remember that one ? ) . Not much luck with the Banjo , but actually caught a lot of fish on the other in a small farm pond I used to fish . Probably because I'm sure the fish had never seen one before. For the most part , I believe most of those type things are a gimmick just trying to get your $$$. You'll do just as well with the basics if fished @ the right time/place .

IBTL.

For as much bashing as they get, I actually didn't do half bad with the Helicopter Lure. Buddy of mine that owned a bait shop had given me one to try. It worked rather well in slop, didn't seem to pick up a lot of trash.
