I just messing with ya, all in good fun. Tight lines man

I would suggest 6.1 - 6.4 , you can use a 5.41 or so on but at the end of the day you might have popeye arms so gear up on some spinach .

Squarebills aren't like a chatterbait or spinnerbait where you slow roll. I use a Shimano Curado MGL in a 7speed. It's perfect! I can use a jerkbait on it too. Love the versatility of a 7 speed.

I use a 6.6:1 or a 6.8:1.  All are between 26 and 28 IPT.

Hey guys I was wondering what gear ratio you like to use for a square bill? Thanks!

High 6's+ plus for all my techniques, I can always slow down, but it's hard to speed up

6:4:1 ... As Gerald Swindle says : "We're bass fishing - this ain't NASCAR" !

I like mid 5’s gear ratio for my regular crank reels.  I don’t throw square bills a lot but, I like being in the 6.4-6.8 gear range
