Tuning Props

Anybody have advice or links on tuning propellers on prop baits?  I recently purchased the Heddon Torpedo 3-pack and all three run differently -- all fairly poorly, in my uneducated opinion.  I tweaked and twisted, but got no action that I liked....apparently none that the bass liked, either.    Particularly frustrating that I couldn't get them to a place where the props would spin at anything less than a hard jerk or fairly fast retrieve.  I think I want to work these a lot slower than they want to be worked.  Then, even on a faster retrieve, the torque would turn them over on their side.    I want to like these, but my one morning with them was rather maddening....and fish-less.

Thought I'd bump this to see if anyone has any suggestions on how to tune prop bait props.  Seems that every twist and tweak I do, they only get worse.  Thanks!
