Yum Mighty Bug, Black/red Flake

Featured Replies

Anybody using this bait? I bought them as a jig trailer, but i haven't used the heavy jig that i put the bait on. I think this bug would be killer as a stand alone flipping bait, on a wide gap hook. Flips and pitches in the pads. Im certain this will be a good bait in the pads to complement my tubes and worms. Also, does anybody love those worm hooks that have some lead welded onto the shank? These hooks are versatile and just the right weight for a controlled fall.

I fish smallmouth in the Upper Potomac River almost exclusively and the 3-inch YUM Mighty Bug is one of my go-to baits.  I fish it on an 1/8 ounce round ball jig head or Texas-rigged with a 2/0 EWG hook and 1/16 or 1/8 ounce bullet weight.

I have used these as well with good success , however don't forget about a yum craw papi I get  some hard reaction strikes .
