Sorry for all the offshore questions, I am just trying to learn as much as I can and wanted to break the questions up..... So I normal fish stumps on the shore but when that bit goes dead, should I move offshore to an area that our lake has that is a massive stump field in about 6-10 feet of water.  How should I fish this offshore stump field. 

Squarebills,  cranks, worms, jigs..  Crash those cranks into the stumps. The deflection and noise will often trigger a bite. I have had success dragging worms or working jigs

 around stumps. 

I agree with Jack. Id def. throw a jig, t-rig and squarebill around that area.

So it sounds like I should use the same techniques I use to target stumps on shore, just apply a deeper presentation.....

by far for a deeper stump field throw a Carolina rig. Crankbaits work really well but you will get hung up way to often to be efficient... try throwing a 1/2 ounce Carolina rig with either a worm, grub or lizard and I promise youll have some fun

I remember fishing on a stump field 8-10 ft down on at Lake of the Ozarks. I randomly put a Missile D-Bomb in California Love color with 3-8 oz EcoPro Tungsten bullet weight. Cast out, let it fall and let line out. Twitch couple times, let fall again then SMACK. Got couple 3's and 4 pounders by doing this. Then bite died. Then used football jig in Green pumpkin with orange flecks with Rage Tail, then do the same technique then SMACK. 3 lbers.

 

Perhaps try do this. It also works in grass amazingly. 

i like a drop shot around stumps honestly. may not sound conventional but it works for me. also like a t-rigged worm

A stump field does not offer much if it does not have a change in contour or bottom composition. Fish those high percentage areas.....and trim up before you put your tm down.
