  1. Wilson Lake boaters are notorious for doing this. I have yet to figure out why
  2. Squarebills, cranks, worms, jigs.. Crash those cranks into the stumps. The deflection and noise will often trigger a bite. I have had success dragging worms or working jigs around stumps.
  3. Navionics is a good tool to use. It will help you locate ledges, humps, etc. Without any kind of sonar you will not know what is on the bottom( limbs, stumps, rocks, etc.) You may can ask any friends that fish the lake or river what kinda of cover or structure is located in certain areas.
  4. For whatever reason it seems that the A Rig bite shuts off after the water temp gets up to 65 and over on the TN river. That's about what the temp is now give or take a couple of degrees. May still have some luck with it.
  5. I hope they weren't fishing yesterday. It was storming very bad all day. Esp. after noon
  6. Regretfully I will not be able to attend. Work and personal issues(nothing bad) have come up. Was really looking forward to this especially since it was so close by. Good luck to everyone and hopefully I can attend next year.
  7. There are a few shallow spots out near the island in front of dam but up by the dam is ok..Nothing like below Wilson
  8. I haven't been on Wilson lately..been on Pickwick. Water should not be muddy at all though.
  9. Won't be able to make banquet
  10. Wilson fishes more like a Highland Reservoir. There is no grass that I am aware of. Only type of vegetation is shoreline weedbeds in places. Lots of boat docks.
  11. That bluff looks mighty familiar LOL I believe i have fished that area many times but haven't caught anything that big there.....Yet!
  12. I try to make myself take out lures I know I probably won't use, but I always have that "what-if" in my head HAHA
  13. Unfortunately that isn't me. Saw it posted on a local fishing blog. Thought I'd give the folks a little incentive to make the trip!
  14. Well unfortunately that's not me in the pic. I started to mention that in my post but thought folks could tell it wasn't me from my profile pic. Saw it posted on a local fishing blog. Guy wouldn't say what he caught them with but that it was not an A rig. Just thought I'd give folks who were on the fence about coming a little incentive!
