I want to change my profile picture to a new pic I took but it is more than 150Kb does anybody know a way around this? Or maybe an app to reduce file sizes or something...

I use a website called Tinypic.com to reduce photos and give me a link to drop photos on other web sites. You can choose the resolution you want. It's also free.

I tried it but when I copied and pasted the URL it kept saying the server could not be contacted...

Edit: I got it thanks for the help!

Not sure if Tiny Pic can be joined anymore, it's now part of Photobucket, existing members can still log in.  Many sites like Photobucket or Imgur will have an avatar option to resize a picture.  There are quite a few photo editors that also will resize pictures, as well on line sites that only edits not sharing sites.  Google has an avatar sizer

I just used it this morning. I don't know what you mean about "members". I was never a member, I just went to the site and uploaded pictures I want to post online. It is working fine right now.

I need to log in to use site, no problem as I'm registered. For the heck of it I tried to register new name, would't allow it.

When I used it I didn't have to create an account or anything it just let me upload straight away...
