Does a snell knot work on a worm hook. Tried on Sunday and missed a few fish. Don't do a lot of flipping but am going to try and do more this year and was practicing with the knot. Maybe a worm hook is better pulled straight

Technically a snell knot will work on any hook.  I personally only use it on "flippin hooks" with a keeper.

Absolutely. Great knot. I use it on every worm hook (TX, Mojo rigging).

 

Also use it on wacky style hooks that are not weedless. Although I did figure a way to snell weedless hooks, it isn't the best scenario.

I use the Uni-knot to snell a hook since I am very familiar with that knot. I use that knot for all connections except a drop-shot rig, then I use the Palomar knot.
