Here's my situation I bought a 1996 javelin 389 with a 225 mercury on it and it was switched from a 175 Johnson fast strike and the gauge wireharness won't hookup and it seems to go in gear just a little harder than I would like any ideas

    It has merchandise controls just shifts hard to with a clunk I bought boat as is she runs great after the shift
