My Blue Bps Rick Clunn Has No Drag...aack!

Featured Replies

I was fishing today and set the hook on a bass and spool just spun. So i checked everything and reset my drag. Same problem!. I locked the star down and i may have one or two pounds of drag total...sucks...that reel has been great to me for ten years!

I had one too some time ago. Thing went forever. Replace the drag washers with some carbons and see if that helps

I recently had a carbonlite johnny morris reel from BPS do the same thing. I sent it in because I found out I got a warranty but forgot I had it lol

i used to have some of those reels and may even still have one laying around. Same thing happened to a couple of them, had them serviced and they were good as new. The only downfall to those reels I ever found, was how much they weighed. Mine were great work horses.
