Traveling With Rods And Tackle

Featured Replies

So, I'll be in TN for the week of the 4th of July.  My sister's husband has a house outside Nashville on Center Hill Lake.  Its 64 sq miles, and will def. be the biggest and surely most overwhelming body of water I've fished - besides the ocean.  I was wondering if you guys have advice for bringing gear on a trip.  I don't want to overpack but I want to bring at least 2 rods with me, and as much tackle as my weight limit will allow.  Any advice??

One more tidbit, my sisters husbands family has never caught a fish on this lake.  I don't even think they own any rods.  Seems like a waste of a lake house, if you ask me.

Ya know thats more common than ya think. There are alot of people who have lake houses or live less than a hundred yards away from a lake or pond and never fish... and it is a waste and baffles me. Haha. Traveling on a plane?? Have no idea. Rods in a travel tube ( pvc pipe) duffle bag or large backpack filled with lures you will use and extra line. I use my b.a.s.s. membership bag for soft pastics.
