I will be pairing it with a Lew's speed spool or Tourney MG.....thoughts or alternatives?

    That should work go with the MG i have one on my jig and worm rod and love it for that technique

    Veritas is a good rod, especially at the $79 price point that *** has them right now. The MH actually makes a good frog rod being that it is a little more powerful than the MH tag would suggest. I think you'll be quite happy
