My husband I plan to vacation in Jekyll Island sometime next year.  Are there any locations to fish for bass on the island?

 

We're going in a week so I'm following this thread.

Update on freshwater fishing on the island, the golf course used to allow fishing after hours but it has been prohibited for a few years now. There is another decent sized pond across from Villas by the Sea, but it's heavily overgrown with very little access to bank fish. Also, crocs are plentiful there so be careful if anyone goes there. I've heard there is a pond by the 4H center on the island where fishing is allowed, but haven't made it over there yet.

I went there for my nieces wedding years back, bring your golf clubs or salt water gear instead.
