Check your local Lowe's, they had rotisserrie units on sale.  They are about 5 rpm motors and were $20 for the whole kit.  You just need to attach a round piece of foam and you have a jig/fly drying wheel.

Vern, if you are using epoxy for a top-coat you will want a drying wheel.

The motor that Flechro suggested is the one I use, runs about 4 rpm.  There are a lot of different methods of holding the baits that I have seen guys use might just need a little trial and error here. My wheel can hold up to 32 baits at a time. I can get a picture if your interested.

Whittler,

If you could post a picture of your drying wheel I would love to see it.  I am trying to picture how the baits attach and am not quite getting it.

Thanks!

I never thought of a rotisserrie motor.  I just happen to have a extra one.  Thanks Guys.

vtbassin, this is my drying wheel, just a simple wood U frame to hold the motor and mount to the wall. This could be mounted from the ceiling or just set on the floor or table. The holders are made from 3\8" dowels with screws or clips epoxied on to hold the bait. There are any number of things you can use to hold the bait, just experiment till you find what you like.

Thanks Whittler,  That looks fairly straight forward.  I have just started trying rod building but who knows cranks may be next!  :)

Vtbassin, with just a change in the holders it can also turn rods, for $20 you can't go wrong.

Thank you so much for your idea! I am on my way to Hobby Lobby and/or Lowe's Now! :)
