What's Happening To The Veritas?

Featured Replies

I don't know if someone's already asked this, but I couldn't find it. What's happening to the veritas? Are they being discontinued, replaced, or updated? Every where they're sold has dropped the price and TW doesn't even offer the full line up anymore, which has got me curious. Are they being replaced with the purple and gold Ike series rod that he was showing off on Facebook?

I have no idea. They are on sale everywhere. $69.99 at cabelas. TW has had them for 79.99 all year.

They are being discontinued

I heard from a guy at bass pro. I'm gonna pick one up at some point

Ike's rods are taking their place is my guess....Abu has rods at every other price point besides 100. Vendetta is already $80

Local BPS no longer carries them at all, and BPS online only has spinning rods. Nice rods though the micro guide version had pretty awful QC.

I also noticed this the last time I was at the bps in Sevierville.

Usually all of the micro guide Veritas the Sevierville/Kodak store had either had cracked epoxy around the guides, or the anodized collar at the reel seat were badly scraped up. Looked like a used rod rack.

yes they are being discontinued and they say the Ike model is taking its place.

So they are discontinuing a nice rod and in it's place is gonna be a rod with hip hop graphics all over it? Lol....Silly Abu.

The purple and gold looks pretty pimptastic.
