Fenwick Method

Featured Replies

Anyone tried this new traveling rod? The concept seems pretty sweet.

Interesting idea, I hadn't seen them until just now.  A neat option for those with limited space/funds for multiple rigs.

To me it seems like a good idea for backpacking or camping as it would a allow you to target multiple species easier.

I doubt I'll pick one up, but I'm curious to hear more.  Fenwick makes some nice rods, so I'd expect it to outperform its pricepoint.

I think it's a wonderful concept. Having a medium and medium heavy, fast and moderate fast. If I did a lot of traveling I wouldn't hesitate to pick one up. Beats the heck out of carrying 4,two piece rods

Cool Concept.

Having recently purchased and used 4 travel rods, I would have been more than just a little interested in these rods as a possible choice had I known about them.

The option of having a couple of different rod action choices from what is basically 1 rod / case seems very convenient.

Welcome to BR!!!  I haven't heard of it either, but I will be checking it out, it sure looks like the reel deal for behind the truck seat, way better than what I carry there now! The 4 in 1 concept sounds great. Nice Find!!   :bravo-009:

I saw it on their site in about late winter, there's been a lot of Buzz on the Fenwick smallmouth rods.. I went to their site to investigate those rods, I saw the travel rods.. I think it's great and I wonder what it will retail for?

Around $150.00 on the BPS site, just checked myself.

My fishing buddy Paul, bought one of these to take down to Mexico our last trip in March.  He liked it very much and used that rod for almost every bait he used!  I am planning on borrowing it and trying it for myself and will check back in for a review at some point!  His is 7'4'' and 3 piece.

Definitely going to have to save up for one of these bad boys. I think ill wait er' out until a few more reviews go viral but the thought of having 4 different rods in one is very, very tempting.
