They were hitting on the top.  I tried a frog and popper, but the bass didn't want those.  I switched over to a shallow running crankbait, and then a spinnerbait.  Using the spinnerbait I picked up a small one along a deep weed line.  That was the only hit I had until about 10:00 AM when they woke back up.

 

I put on the same shallow running crank that I had used earlier, and they really liked it the second time around.  Pick up seven more bass in about 2-1/2 hours.  I didn't catch anything of any size but I did good on numbers.
