Composite wood for swimbaits???

Featured Replies

I thought it was made alot like particle or pressed boards and can be pressed into shapes but that's partly a guess for that application.

a lot of "composite wood is a mixture of wood pulp and plastic.  it is strong and virtually weather-proof.  there was a lot of talk about building docks and piers out of this stuff, but it is very expensive.  an old candle company in bentonville, ar came up w/ a plan a few years ago to make the composite wood and use the plastic from old walmart bags(being so close to wally world corporate)  all of the wood they made was "walmart bag" blue.  this sounds like it might be the same stuff since you could mold it.  i hope this helps

Interesting. Which swimbaits are made out of composite wood? The only wood "swimbait" I own is the MS Slammer, which is made out of cedar wood I believe.
